Jiangsu’s 3 new parks recognized as national e-commerce demonstration base

Jiangsu became home to three of 14 new industrial parks recognized as the national e-commerce demonstration bases by the Ministry of Commerce.

The province’s three new parks honored are in Liangxi District of Wuxi City, Changzhou City and Jingjiang City, which also brought the total number of such bases to 15, ranking first in the country.

Established in 2013, the E-commerce Industrial Park in Liangxi District was one of the first batch of parks dedicated to e-commerce service in China.

As of 2021, 386 e-commerce enterprises settled in the Changzhou West Taihu E-commerce Industrial Park and reported cumulative transactions of 13.85 billion yuan, an increase of 29.38% year-on-year.

The Jingjiang E-Commerce Entrepreneurship Centre, established in 2016, has cultivated more than 130 start-ups, which achieved transactions of 2 billion yuan in 2021 and 850 million yuan in the first half of this year.
